Luhut Panjaitan

Luhut is currently the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment of the Republic of Indonesia. He was appointed as Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs from 27 July 2016 to 20 Oktober 2019, as Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs from 12 August 2015 to 27 July 2015, and he was also appointed as the Presidential Chief of Staff by President Joko Widodo on 31 December 2014. Luhut also hold cabinet-rank office as Minister for Industry and Trade in the cabinet under the late President Abdurrahman Wahid. He was Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore in 2000.

Bambang Supriyanto is currently the Director General of Social Forestry and Environmental Partnership at the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Indonesia. Previously, he held a number of leadership positions in the Ministry including Head of Planning Bureau, Director of Research and Development for Social Economic Forest Policy and Climate Change Center, and Director of Utilization of Environmental Services of Conservation Forest.
In addition to his government post, Supriyanto is also National Coordinator for WWF Indonesia, and Indonesian Coordinator for Asian Raptor Research and Conservation Network (ARRCN). Additionally he works with IUCN, CIFOR, Indonesia-Finland Cooperation, Gede Pahala, Raptor Sanctuary, and Tropical Forest Conservation Act II for Borneo.

Ambassador Djauhari Oratmangun is currently the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the People's Republic of China and accredited to Mongolia. Before assuming his current position, he was the Senior Advisor on Strategic Issues to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.

Previously he was the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the Russian Federation and accredited to the Republic of Belarus (2012- 2016). He had served as the Deputy Minister for ASEAN Cooperation/SOM Leader ASEAN-Indonesia(2009-2011), as well as the Ambassador/Permanent Representative of Indonesia (Ad Interim) to ASEAN (2009-2010), and the Deputy Chief of Mission and Charge d’Affaires of the Indonesian Embassy in the Hague (2004-2009).

He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia in 1984 and was posted at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Indonesia in New York (1986-1990 and 1997-2001) and at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Indonesia in Geneva (1993-1997). He became the Director for Multilateral Economic Cooperation (2001-2002) and was appointed as the Director for United NationsEconomic, Development, and Environmental Affairs(2002-2004), both at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.Ambassador Oratmangun has represented Indonesia in various Regional and International Conferences/ Forums, as speaker and Head of Delegation.

Professor Qiu’s research interests primarily focus on organic electronics, optoelectronics, semiconductors, and organic light emitting materials and devices. He has been devoted to both the fundamental research on Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLED) and technology transfer.

LI Zheng is the Executive Vice President of Institute of Climate Change and Sustainable Development, and Director of the Tsinghua-BP Clean Energy and Education Center at Tsinghua University. He is appointed as the inaugural Secretary-General of the Global Alliance of Universities on Climate.
Li received his Ph.D. from the Department of Thermal Engineering at Tsinghua University in 1994. Before returning to Tsinghua University, he worked as an engineer for three years in the Harbin Turbine Works. He joined the faculty of Thermal Engineering at the end of 1994, and became a full professor in 2000, then recognized as Cheung Kong Scholar Professor in 2008. He was the Dean of Thermal Engineering from 2011 to 2017. He founded the Tsinghua-BP Clean Energy Research and Education Center in 2003 and continues to serve as its director.

Before joining Tsinghua University, he was the Chief Economist at the Research Bureau of the People’s Bank of China (PBOC) from 2014-17. Prior to that, he worked for 13 years at Deutsche Bank, where he was Managing Director, Chief Economist for Greater China, and Head of China and Hong Kong Strategy. From 1992-2000, he worked as public policy specialist, economist and senior economist at the International Monetary Fund and World Bank.

Pearl Donghui Mao

Pearl has initiated Tsinghua x-lab, an educational platform (not an incubator) for Tsinghua University since 2013. Under her leadership, the x-lab provides innovation and entrepreneurship related education, services and resources for students, alumni and teachers from all departments of Tsinghua, aiming to cultivate and improve the innovative and entrepreneurial cognition and ability of the students, promote integration and cooperation among cross-disciplinary teams, and develop innovation program partnership with various corporations.

Professor Kaiping Peng is professor of psychology and the dean of the school of social sciences at Tsinghua University. He is the founder of the psychology department of Tsinghua University, the Happiness Technology Lab, and the Chinese Association of Positive Psychology. He received his Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1997，then joined the faculty of the psychology department of University of California at Berkeley. He has published eight books and more than 340 articles and essays on cultural, social and positive psychology. He had been the world most cited social psychologist at the associate professor level in 2007. He has won the titles of top ten best teachers of China in 2015, the person of the year in health professions in 2016 and top ten most cited Chinese psychologists since 2015.

TANG Wenzhe is a Professor of School of Civil Engineering, and Deputy Head of Construction Management Dept., Tsinghua University. Dr. Andrew Steer is the President and CEO of the World Resources Institute. Dr. Steer joined WRI from the World Bank, where he served as Special Envoy for Climate Change from 2010 - 2012. From 2007 to 2010, he served as Director General at the UK Department of International Development (DFID) in London. This followed 10 years in East Asia, where he was Head of the World Bank in Vietnam and Indonesia.

Christiana Figueres

Christiana Figueres is an internationally recognized leader on climate change. She was Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change from 2010 to 2016, where she oversaw the delivery of the historic Paris Agreement. Today she is the co-founder of Global Optimism, co-host of the podcast “Outrage & Optimism” and is the co-author of the recently published book, “The Future We Choose: Surviving the Climate Crisis.”

Dominic Waughray

Dominic holds a Degree (Hons) in Geography from Cambridge University and a Master's in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics from University College London. From 1994-98, he was Senior Scientific Officer, Natural Environment Research Council Institute of Hydrology for the UK Civil Service. From 1998-2005, he was Managing Partner of Environmental Resources Management. More recently, he served as Senior Director, Head of Environmental Initiatives, World Economic Forum, where he was responsible for the agenda on environment and sustainability issues, including events (Annual Meeting in Davos and regional meetings), analysis and initiatives (multistakeholder projects). His focus areas include resource scarcity (water-food-energy linkages); water security; climate change and green investment; sustainable production and consumption.

He is an International Fellow, IIED; Associate Fellow, Royal Institute of International Affairs; Trustee, The Climate Group, an international NGO; Vice-Chair, Water Resources Group Executive Committee, an international public-private partnership on water hosted by the World Bank Group; and a Member, UNFCCC Momentum for Change Advisory Panel, an initiative to select and showcase the world's most promising climate change mitigation and adaptation projects.

Fitrian Ardiansyah is Indonesia Country Director at IDH-The Sustainable Trade Initiative.
He has more than 18 years working experience in the field of ecological and environmental economics, natural resource management, integrated spatial and land use planning, sustainable commodities, sustainable forest management as well as climate change and energy. He is also a board member of Partnership for Indonesia’s Sustainable Agriculture (PISAgro), a regional committee member for Tropical Forest Alliance 2020/World Economic Forum (TFA2020/WEF) in Southeast Asia and a core-group member of International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)’s Commission on Ecosystem Management (CEM).

Guido Schmidt-Traub

Dr. Guido Schmidt-Traub is Executive Director of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network. Guido leads the SDSN’s policy work, including on long-term pathways for sustainable land-use and food systems, financing for development, and the SDG Index and Dashboards. He serves on the Governing Council of Future Earth and other advisory bodies. Previously, Guido was CEO of Paris-based CDC Climat Asset Management, an investment company regulated by the French financial markets regulator; climate change advisor to the Africa Progress Panel secretariat; and Director and Partner at South Pole Carbon Asset Management in Zurich.

Mr. Moreira da Silva is since 1st November 2016 the Director of the Development Co-operation Directorate (DCD) at OECD.
From 2013 to 2015, he was Portugal’s Minister of Environment, Energy and Spatial Planning. Prior to this Ministerial position, Mr. Moreira da Silva served as Senior Environmental Finance Advisor and Programme Manager on Climate Change Innovative Finance at UNDP’s Bureau for Development Policy (2009-2012); Senior Advisor to the President of Portugal (2006-2009); Secretary of State for Science and Higher Education (2003-2004); Secretary of State for Environment and Spatial Planning (2004-2005); Member of the Portuguese Parliament (1995-99; 2005-2006; 2015-16); and Member of the European Parliament (1999-2003). As Member of the European Parliament, he was the Standing Draftsman on climate change and he authored the Report and the political agreement on the EU GHG Emissions Trading Directive in 2003.

Mari Pangestu is the World Bank Managing Director of Development Policy and Partnerships. Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti

Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti is a senior advisor to the Minister of National Development Planning for Economy and Financing at the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, Republic of Indonesia. She started her career in the Ministry since 1999 at Directorate of Industry, Trade, and Tourism. She was assigned as a Deputy Director for Trade in 2006 and appointed as Director for Trade, Investment and International Economic Cooperation in November 2011 until July 2016. She was then assigned as a Director of Macroeconomic Planning and Statistics Analysis in July 2016 until February 2018, before being promoted to her current position.

She obtained her PhD degree in economics from the University of Melbourne Australia in 2005 with her thesis of Inflation Targeting Framework in Emerging Economies. Her strong interest is in macroeconomic issues, trade and economic development as well as economic modeling and analysis has encouraged her to put her strong intention on economic policy research for Indonesia.

Andre Uhl

Andre Uhl is a PhD candidate at Harvard University and co-founder of the Council on Extended Intelligence, a trisector working group hosted at the IEEE Standards Association and MIT to promote principles of participatory design, citizen-centric data agency and metrics of wellbeing for the development of autonomous and intelligent systems. His dissertation - Extended Intelligence: Awareness-Based Interventions into the Ecology of Autonomous and Intelligent Systems - explores the ethics and governance of Artificial Intelligence through the lens of cross-cultural complexity and the posthuman predicament of climate change.

Andre received an MA from Tokyo University of the Arts, Japan, and a BA from FU Berlin, Germany. He is alumnus of the ‘Studienstiftung’ German National Academic Foundation and the ‘MEXT’ fellowship program of the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

Andrew Sheng is Pro-Chancellor of Bristol University and Distinguished Fellow, Asia Global Institute, University of Hong Kong, as well as Chairman, George Town Institute of Open and Advanced Studies, Wawasan Open University, Malaysia. He has a First Class Honours in Economics from Bristol University, and Honorary Doctorates from University of Bristol and University of Malaya. He is also Adjunct Professor at the Tsinghua University and University of Malaya. A former central banker and financial regulator, he currently writes on financial and economic issues for AsiaNewsNet and Project Syndicate, as well as Caijing and Caixin magazines in China.

Ms. Salim has spent more than 30 years in the finance and banking sector. Most recently, she served as Vice CEO of PT Bank Negara Indonesia, one of Indonesia’s largest state banks (2004-2015). During the Asian Crisis in the late nineties, she was the Deputy Chairperson of the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency and Head of the Secretariat for the Financial Sector Policy Committee. Her experience in the finance and banking sector additionally includes Citibank N.A. (1983-1991), Vice President of PT Jardine Fleming Nusantara (1991-1993), and Managing Director of The Jakarta Stock Exchange (1994-1999).

Satu Kähkönen

Satu Kahkonen is the World Bank Country Director for Indonesia and Timor-Leste, joining the position in February 2020 and is based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Ms. Kahkonen oversees the Bank’s program in the two countries and leads policy dialogue with government counterparts, civil society and other partners.

Prior to this position, she was the World Bank Country Director for Belarus, Moldova, and Ukraine. She had also served as Director of the Macroeconomics and Fiscal Management Global Practice at the World Bank Group, where she oversaw the work of the Practice in Europe and Central Asia, East Asia and Pacific, as well as South Asia. She was a Sector Manager in the Poverty Reduction and Economic Management unit. The cluster focused on economic policy management and covered 18 countries of the East and South East Europe—new EU Member States and Western Balkans—as well as select Eurozone countries.

Preceding that, she worked as a Lead Economist in South Asia, East and South East Europe, and Africa in the World Bank. In that role, she led a team which provided economic policy advice and technical expertise to multiple countries including Pakistan, Bulgaria, Croatia, and Uganda.

Before joining the World Bank, Ms. Kahkonen was part of the faculty of the University of Maryland and Associate Director of the Center for Institutional Reform and the Informal Sector (IRIS), a think tank affiliated with the Department of Economics and headed by the late Professor Mancur Olson.

Ms. Kahkonen is the author of three books on economic development, and has published numerous economic reports and research papers. Ms. Kahkonen holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, where she studied as a Fulbright Scholar, and an M.Sc. from the Helsinki School of Economics.
